Key Responsibilities of the Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Support patients in improving daily living skills, fine motor abilities, and functional independence
- Provide therapeutic activities and exercises under OT supervision
- Monitor and report patient progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and home programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patient care
Requirements of the Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant:
- Active California Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
