Description:
School-Based Occupational Therapist - Middle School Setting Shift Details
- Scheduled hours: 7:00 AM - 3:45 PM
Student Population
- Approximately 40 students served, grades 6th through 8th
- Students are served across two program types:
- General Education - Co-taught setting
- Self-Contained - Strategy Education and SNAP
- 17 students are in self-contained classrooms
- 8 students are due for their 3-year re-evaluation
Caseload Details
- IEP Caseload: 40 students
- 504 Caseload: 25 (Consult)
- Students outside of self-contained programs are seen approximately 20-30 minutes per week
- Students in the self-contained program are seen approximately 30-60 minutes per week
- An additional 10 students receive 5 minutes per week of consultation to staff
- Some students also receive consultation through their 504 plan with no direct minutes
Additional Staffing
- Another OT is scheduled in the building on a part-time basis
Off-Campus Placement
- 1 off-campus placement student
- Service frequency: 180 minutes per month
- Off-campus location: Machesney Park, IL
