Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Licensed Occupational Therapist Must-Have: Licensed Occupational Therapist Description: This is an inpatient rehabilitation unit. There are 285 beds with a level 2 trauma center and a 16-bed inpatient rehab unit. The unit has a staffing of 14 professionals. Day shift consists of 11 acute care occupational therapists and 4 rehabilitation occupational therapists. The patient ratios are 12:1 for acute care and 4-5:1 for rehab. All standard rehabilitation equipment is available on the unit. Electronic Medical Records are managed using Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include evaluations, treatments, activities of daily living, and mobility training. The unit is equipped with rehab gym equipment. Staff are expected to wear eggplant-colored scrubs. The department recognizes employee achievements and has a team-building engagement group. This unit offers the opportunity to work with experienced staff and the latest rehabilitation technology. Flexible scheduling options are available, including 1 weekend of work every six weeks with the option for flex time off during weekdays when working weekends.
