Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to determine functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation goals
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, strength, coordination, and cognitive function
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home exercise programs, and assistive equipment
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes
  • Recommend adaptive devices and environmental modifications to promote independence and safety
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and rehabilitation standards
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while encouraging patient participation and recovery
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Active Oregon Occupational Therapist License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Occupational Therapy experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, therapeutic interventions, and adaptive equipment
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and patient education skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to assist patients with transfers, mobility, and functional activities
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services
