Job Title: Inpatient Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapy Specialty: Inpatient Duration: Part-Time Shift: Weekend Hours per Shift: Varies Experience: Inpatient experience required. License: Active state license required. Certifications: Relevant certifications preferred. Must-Have: Must work July 4th. Must work one weekend day every four weeks, with flexibility during that week. Description: The role will involve strictly inpatient responsibilities. Therapists will cover all floors of the facility and are not assigned to one specific floor. Occupational therapists will primarily work with patients following spine, CABG, rotator cuff, and mastectomy surgeries. They will see CABG surgeries in the ICU usually on Post Operative Day 1. Occupational therapists will support needs screened by physical therapy for anterior total hip and knee arthroplasties. They will typically work with patients recovering from posterior hip surgeries. Consults will cover a variety of patient conditions, including amputations, pneumonia, diabetes ketoacidosis, cerebrovascular accidents, sepsis, and various heart conditions.
