Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) - $2,456 per week in Houston, TX

Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: Long Term Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: 1 Year of Occupational Therapy Experience License: Occupational Therapy License Required Certifications: LTC or Rehabilitation Experience Required Must-Have: - 1 Year of Occupational Therapy Experience - Long Term Care or Rehabilitation Experience - Occupational Therapy License Description: Effectively screens and evaluates patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders. Develops appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients. Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, and use of supportive and assistive devices. Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record. Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modifies services as needed based on evaluations. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders. Effectively communicates with supervisors and health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provides comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided. Documents all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records. Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided. Participates in required meetings, including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings. Participates in facility and company-required trainings and in-services. Able to obtain necessary durable medical equipment or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Able to supervise and support occupational therapist assistants and rehabilitation aides. Adheres to professional practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during practice as an Occupational Therapist.
