Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Inpatient Rehabilitation Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Valid state license required Certifications: NBCOT required, BLS preferred Must-Have: First-time travelers accepted Charting experience required Description: Position involves working as an occupational therapist in an inpatient setting. Regular hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekend call is required once every five weekends. The holiday requirements are not applicable. The therapist may float to another unit as needed. The patient-to-therapist ratio is 1:7. Experience in a similar setting is preferred. Candidates should have a preference for working with adults and geriatrics. The daily patient census is approximately six. Therapists are expected to conduct around ten visits per day. Additional supportive services are available, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Experience with charting systems is essential. The focus is on rehabilitation techniques and ensuring patient safety. A robust understanding of adaptive equipment and rehabilitation practices is expected. Candidates must be willing to comply with health and safety policies.
