Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Outpatient Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required in outpatient settings License: Valid state license required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: Experience in outpatient settings, neuro and orthopedic conditions Description: Ideal candidates will have acute care outpatient experience. Candidates should be able to work across outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings. Weekend coverage is needed. Week 1 schedule consists of Sunday (inpatient), Monday-Thursday (outpatient). Week 2 requires availability Monday-Friday (outpatient). Skilled outpatient therapy experience is preferred, including neuro, orthopedic, and pediatric cases. Experience working in a hospital-based outpatient setting is desirable. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in various therapeutic techniques, including activities of daily living and adaptive equipment assessment. Demonstrated ability in cognitive assessment and rehabilitation for stroke and other neurological conditions is essential. Candidates should be well-versed in discharge planning, patient/family education, and safety/injury prevention strategies. An understanding of special populations, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, is crucial. Flexibility to float between facilities may be required. Willingness to work during major holidays is expected.
