Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Home Health Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday Experience: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) required only if obtained license on or after January 2007, or foreign equivalent. License: Occupational Therapy licensure in all applicable states of practice required. Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required. Must-Have: Valid Driver's License and must be at least 21 years of age or older. Description: Our home health and hospice agencies serve the entire community and offer personalized in-home care. The Occupational Therapist plans and conducts segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions while meeting department objectives. The role includes serving as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups. Essential functions include completing evaluations to ensure quality standards and addressing assessment areas that require attention. The Occupational Therapist utilizes appropriate clinical techniques and tools and establishes individualized treatment plans for patients. They provide therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques. Establishing individualized care and discharge plans is crucial, as is ensuring these plans are communicated to relevant parties. Comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation must be completed within established deadlines. The Occupational Therapist supervises assigned assistants and performs other job-related duties as assigned. We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our associates and patients.
