Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) - $2,814 per week in Meridian, ID

Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour days Hours per Shift: 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, four shifts per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care License: State License required Certifications: BLS Certification required Must-Have: Must have 1 year of acute care experience as a licensed therapist. Must be able to evaluate and treat adult acute care patients. Must provide discharge recommendations. Must communicate safe mobility plans to the interdisciplinary team. Description: The department provides occupational therapy services to adult patients in acute care. The team typically treats 8-10 patients per day with 5-7 therapists working daily. Common diagnoses include neurologic conditions such as CVA, MS, Parkinson’s, and Guillain Barre. Other conditions include general medical, orthopedic, cardiac, and oncology patients. Travelers are required to cover the adult acute care population, excluding ICU unless they have strong ICU experience. No COTAs are staffed, but there are 2 rehab aides available. The facility utilizes an electronic medical record system. There is a supervisor available on each shift. Travelers may work 40% of weekend days, typically every other full weekend, with occasional consecutive weekends off. Holiday work is rare for travelers. Dress code is any color scrubs or business casual. Onboarding will include 2 days with an experienced staff preceptor. Travelers may be required to work additional shifts during the first week to accommodate scheduling. Candidates must be outside of a 50-mile radius to qualify.
