Job Description
The Occupational Therapist will:
Assess clients’ physical, developmental, and psychosocial functions (e.g., motor, cognitive, perceptual, behavioral, physical capacities) using standardized and non-standardized tools.
Plan, coordinate, and implement individual or group occupational therapy treatment plans.
Determine appropriate therapy techniques, sequence, and coordinate treatment plans with other programs for overall client benefit.
Provide consultation with clients, healthcare professionals, and external parties regarding progress, treatment recommendations, and integration with other programs.
Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Assess and locate suitable adaptive equipment for clients.
Document evaluations, observations, assessments, treatment plans, and revisions.
Requisition necessary supplies and equipment, maintain records, and stay current on occupational therapy best practices through reading, in-service training, and mandated education.
