Occupational Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to support students' academic participation and daily functional skills.
Assess students' abilities related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom activities.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and educational goals.
Provide interventions to improve coordination, motor skills, independence, and participation in school activities.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student development and learning outcomes.
Recommend adaptive equipment, accommodations, and strategies to improve student success.
Monitor and document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records.
Participate in student support meetings, evaluations, and individualized education planning.
Follow school policies, safety guidelines, and applicable professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in applicable state
American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Providers
Minimum 1+ years' experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a hospital setting.
Additional certifications may be required.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements ) .
