Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to help patients improve, recover, or maintain daily living and working skills
- Recommend and train patients on the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment
- Modify and adapt environments to support patient independence and safety
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families throughout the rehabilitation process
- Monitor and document patient progress toward established goals
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience
- Active Texas OT license or compact state license recognized in Texas
- Ability to work within a long-term care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility environment
- Experience creating personalized care plans aligned with meaningful patient goals
