Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge and effective return to community activities.
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients while ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
Adhere to state Practice Act and regulatory requirements, maintain professional licensure in good standing, and actively pursue continuing education and professional development.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Texas.
Ability to complete comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Proficiency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and ethical standards.
Commitment to patient and employee safety practices including safe patient handling and infection control protocols.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an outpatient therapy setting.
Experience supervising or mentoring therapy students or clinical affiliates.
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiative participation.
