Occupational Therapist - Acute
LocationHoulton, ME
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Onsite | Full-Time | 8-hour shifts (8:00AM–5:00PM) or 10-hour shifts (7:00AM–6:00PM) with one-hour lunch
Key Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy services in both inpatient and outpatient acute care settings
- Evaluate and treat a diverse patient population across a wide geographic rural service area
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary therapy team including OTs, PTs, and a dual-licensed PTA/COTA assistant
- Optionally evaluate and treat pediatric patients based on therapist interest and experience
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications- Active Occupational Therapist license in the State of Maine
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued through the American Heart Association
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Ability to start on a Monday coinciding with scheduled facility orientation (held every other Monday)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience treating pediatric patients in a clinical setting
- Prior experience working in a rural or critical access hospital environment
