Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students in a school-based setting throughout the academic year
• Evaluate and treat students with a variety of developmental, physical, and functional needs
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records in accordance with school and regulatory requirements
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support planning

Required Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain licensure in Alaska
• Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current NBCOT certification (OTR)
• Experience providing occupational therapy services in a pediatric or school-based environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working within a school district or special education setting
• Familiarity with IEP development and federal special education regulations (IDEA)
• Experience with Extended School Year (ESY) programming
