Contract | Full-Time (40 hours/week) | Days | Onsite | Split between two outpatient clinic locations
Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Manage a full hand therapy caseload including fabrication of splints across outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy settings
Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and regulatory requirements, maintaining licensure in good standing and completing all required continuing education
Required Qualifications
Active Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Florida in good standing
Experience in outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy
Demonstrated proficiency in splint fabrication and comfort managing a full hand therapy caseload
Ability to work across two outpatient clinic locations (split schedule)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential preferred
Experience with student supervision and clinical education programs
