    Key Responsibilities
    • Assess patients' level of functioning upon physician orders and develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient/family goals.
    • Plan, implement, and document occupational therapy treatments in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines.
    • Participate in the interdisciplinary team process, including team conferences, discharge planning, and patient/family education.
    • Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), OT and COTA students, and assist with new staff orientation.
    • Complete all required documentation including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, treatment programs, and discharge disposition within defined timeframes.
    • Promote patient and employee safety across key areas including safe patient handling, infection control, and fall prevention.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Florida.
    • Demonstrated ability to evaluate patients, select appropriate assessment procedures, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
    • Experience supervising COTAs and/or OT students in a clinical setting.
    • Strong documentation skills with the ability to complete clinical records accurately and within required timeframes.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care setting.
    • Familiarity with adaptive equipment recommendation, issuance, and patient/family training.
    • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
