Contract | Days | Onsite | Monday–Friday (varying hours: Mon 8am–6pm, Tue 10am–7pm, Wed 8am–5pm, Thu 10am–7pm, Fri 8am–4pm)

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry
  • Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients
  • Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs including supervision, learning objectives, and evaluations
  • Adhere to state Practice Act, regulatory requirements, and organizational safety and compliance standards including safe patient handling and infection control
Required Qualifications
  • Active Occupational Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Florida
  • Demonstrated experience in outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy
  • Proficiency in splint fabrication and comfort managing a full hand therapy caseload
  • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and state continuing education requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential strongly preferred
  • Experience with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity documentation
  • Involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, and professional organizations
