OT - Rehabilitation
Job Details:
• Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend hours required with one Saturday shift per rotation, swapping a day off during the week
• Patient ratio of 5 to 7 patients
• Perform activities of daily living (ADLs) for patients with various diagnoses and varying levels of function
• Must be comfortable working in an acute rehabilitation setting
• Common diagnoses and treatments include CVA, SCI, TBI, and orthopedic conditions
• Patient population is general, including adult and geriatric patients
• Electronic health record system: UDS
• Required education: Doctorate, Masters, or Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy
• Must hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in Oklahoma
• Must have basic computer knowledge and strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
• Must be cooperative and have a desire to be a team player
• Black scrubs required
Facility:
This inpatient rehabilitation hospital specializes in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The facility is designed to promote recuperation outside the traditional hospital setting and features specialized gymnasiums with high-tech therapy devices, including a robotic arm system and a therapy car to assist patients in relearning daily tasks. Additional amenities include a low-stimulation secured unit with monitored rooms, specialized beds, patient lifts, dedicated therapy gym and dining areas, special apartments for patients and families to practice daily living tasks, private family-friendly rooms with sleeper chairs, and an outdoor healing garden and walking trail.
