Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, mental, and emotional needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans to improve functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Provide direct therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, and cognitive training.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and families on home safety, adaptive techniques, and equipment use.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of California.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, equipment, and therapeutic modalities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or geriatric care setting.
- Familiarity with current best practices and emerging treatment methodologies in occupational therapy.
