Key Responsibilities
Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards
Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
Assess patient progress, adjust treatments accordingly, and evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness, making referrals as appropriate
Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders
Document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system, accurately recording treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements
Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Oklahoma
Minimum of 1 year of OT experience
Long Term Care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience
Adherence to NBCOT and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
Ability to participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
Preferred Experience / Skills
New graduates with Level II fieldwork experience (beyond Level I observation) will be considered
Experience utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
