Key Responsibilities- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatments accordingly, and evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness, making referrals as appropriate
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders
- Document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system, accurately recording treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements
- Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
Required Qualifications- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Oklahoma
- Minimum of 1 year of OT experience
- Long Term Care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience
- Adherence to NBCOT and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
- Ability to participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
Preferred Experience / Skills- New graduates with Level II fieldwork experience (not solely Level I observation) will be considered
- Experience utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems used in long term care or rehabilitation environments
