Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
- Manage a full hand therapy caseload within an outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy setting, including fabrication of splints.
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities.
- Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned, including supervision, learning objective development, and student evaluations.
- Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and regulatory requirements, and actively pursue continuing education and professional development.
Required Qualifications- Active Occupational Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Florida.
- Demonstrated experience in outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy.
- Proficiency in splint fabrication and management of a full hand therapy caseload.
- Ability to complete thorough clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
- Experience participating in clinical student programs and providing supervision and mentorship.
