Occupational Therapist – Inpatient / Acute Care

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities- Provide inpatient occupational therapy services across a variety of acute care units including neurology, oncology, med/surg, ICU, nephrology, and cardiac
- Float to acute care settings as needed to support patient care demands
- Evaluate and treat patients with diverse diagnoses, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately within Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
Required Qualifications- Active Occupational Therapist license (must be obtained prior to start; proof of pending licensure may be considered)
- Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience; acute care experience is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR is required
- Ability and willingness to float to acute care units
Preferred Experience / Skills- NBCOT certification preferred
- Prior travel therapy experience preferred
- 3 or more years of occupational therapy experience preferred
