Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (40 hours/week); 10-hour shift schedule may also be considered

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct chart reviews, build daily patient schedules, and perform patient care and evaluations in an acute care hospital setting
• Manage an expected patient load of 7–8 patients per 8-hour shift across general med, neuro, ortho, cardiac, respiratory, trauma, surgical, ICU, and joint replacement populations
• Participate in a rotating late-joint coverage schedule; last joint seen at 5:00 PM with departure no later than 6:30 PM — no call and no weekends required
• Safely transfer and treat acutely ill patients, including those with lines and drains
• Collaborate with Physical Therapy colleagues, particularly during initial orientation to support workflow integration
• Attend daily 12:45 PM team huddle and maintain documentation standards; OT billing eligibility begins after 48 hours

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) Occupational Therapist license required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required — must be obtained within first 90 days if not already in hand
• Prior travel therapy experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Demonstrated experience and comfort working in an acute care hospital setting, including with acutely ill patients, lines, and drains

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NBCOT certification preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred
• Background working with joint replacement, trauma, and ICU patient populations
