Occupational Therapist - Skilled Nursing (Full Time or Part Time Available)

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate residents and establish individualized therapeutic plans of care with functional short- and long-term goals, including specified frequency and duration of treatment.
  • Provide ADL training including assistance with bathing, dressing, oral care, and hair care, as well as ambulation, mobility, positioning, and transfers using appropriate equipment and body mechanics.
  • Monitor and progress treatment programs toward established functional goals, modifying plans of care as clinically necessary.
  • Document all evaluative and therapeutic interactions accurately and in a timely manner within the EMR system, ensuring accessibility and clarity for the care team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and caregivers regarding therapeutic and discharge planning needs; attend relevant team meetings.
  • Recommend and instruct residents and caregivers on the use of appropriate assistive devices; supervise and mentor assistant-level staff as applicable.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
  • Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Excellent time management and clinical documentation skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting.
