Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Manage a full hand therapy caseload including fabrication of splints and delivery of outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy services
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned with appropriate supervision and completion of student evaluations
Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Occupational Therapist licensure in good standing
Demonstrated experience in outpatient orthopedic and hand therapy
Proficiency in splint fabrication and comfort managing a full hand therapy caseload
Ability to complete documentation and goal writing in compliance with applicable state, federal, and payer guidelines
Preferred Experience / Skills
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential preferred
Experience participating in clinical student programs and providing mentorship
