BACKFILL - Occupational Therapist needed for full-time 26-week contract! Shift Info: 8-4:30 , 40 hours/week M-F. they would be required to help with late joints, not every night, just on a rotation like everyone else is. Last joint gets seen at 5:00 so out by 6:30 at the absolute latest. No call, no weekends. Education : Bachelor's Degree required. Occupational Therapist (OT) -KSBHA OT Required, NBCOT (COTA/OTR) required, BLS AHA ONLY- must have within first 90 days if not in hand. No pending certs or licenses will be allowed!! No hits on license, NO exceptions. Epic experience preferred, not required. Expected patient load: 7 8 patients per 8 hour shift is 100%, will build up to 100% Types of patients expected: gen med, neuro, ortho, cardiac, respiratory, trauma, surgical, ICU, joint replacement. ED pts less common. Daily shift tasks: Arrive. Chart review, make schedule, patient care/evals until 12ish. 1245 huddle. 30 minutes of lunch and then again in afternoon. You may be paired up with a PT and probably will for a bit once there is a quick orientation to help with workflow. Must have experience with and feel comfortable in acute care hospital setting. Transferring patients with lines and drains, very acutely ill diagnoses, etc. OT billable after 48. Shift Cancellation Clause: Client may cancel one (1) shift every 30 days during a thirteen (13) week assignment. If Client elects to cancel (1) shift every 30 days, guaranteed hours will not apply to that week. Call Off clause: If Client cancels a shift after HCP has started working then Client will pay for the number hours worked or 2 hours, whichever is greater.
