Job Summary
Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not specified. This position involves providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care within an oncology clinic setting. The RN will administer chemotherapy, educate patients and families, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, adhering to all relevant standards and policies.

Job Details

• Qualifications: Nursing (RN) experience of six (6) months to three (3) years; management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years; five plus (5)+ years of direct experience; current NYS RN License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); Unit-specific requirements as listed in the Compliance Matrix; preferred certifications include professional nursing specialty certifications and relevant skills certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Schedule: Nights shift (7pm-7am), 36 hours per week, every other weekend.
• Responsibilities: Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care; educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management; administer medications safely, including chemotherapy; participate in quality initiatives and ongoing professional development; utilize current evidence-based practices; support new employees and students.
• Certifications & Licensure: Current NYS RN License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); Unit-specific requirements validated prior to candidate submission.
• Skills: Strong collaboration, communication (verbal & written), judgment, critical thinking, organizational ability, planning, problem-solving, quality focus, reliability, safety, and risk management skills.
• Additional Information: The position requires candidates who can administer chemotherapy from the first day, with experience in chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
