Job Summary:
The Oncology Clinic (ONCCLI) in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care within an outpatient setting. This position involves implementing the nursing process for patient assessment, planning, and evaluation, particularly for oncology patients. The role requires providing education, support, and clinical expertise to patients and their families while adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse license, BSN degree preferred, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, successful completion of CCH Pharmacology exam, outpatient nursing experience, Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate, ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with terminally ill patients and their families, demonstrated skills in oncology patient education and counseling in both curative and palliative modalities, proficiency in computerized nursing informatics, ability to work with terminally ill patients and their families
- Additional Information: The role involves assessment of physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients, documentation of patient information, participation in staff meetings, and community hospital representation. Candidates should show a willingness to participate in nursing committees and ongoing professional development.
