Description

American Traveler is seeking an Oncology RN with ONS chemotherapy certification for a GYN Oncology Infusion clinic position requiring a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Position within a GYN Oncology Infusion clinic setting with 16 treatment chairs
• Patient ratio of 4:1 chairs at a time
• No unit secretaries or techs available on the unit
• Uses Alaris Pumps for infusion administration
• Charting system is MediTech Expanse
• Monday through Friday clinic schedule with no weekends or major holidays required
• May float to TCT Infusion department after receiving orientation to that unit

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Chemotherapy Certification through an ONS provider required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior chemotherapy patient care experience required
• Skilled in accessing Port-A-Cath using sterile technique
• Able to obtain peripheral venous access
• Experienced in chemotherapy administration
• Skilled in IV hydration and electrolyte repletion
• Able to obtain height, weight, and vital signs
• Able to draw labs using central venous catheter or peripheral access
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No Canadian SSN accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct chemotherapy and infusion care to oncology patients in a clinic setting
• Required to wear solid colored scrubs in navy, lavender, pink, black, or teal
• Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• No local candidates will be considered under any circumstances
