Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Outpatient Oncology Infusion position in Raleigh, NC, requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and 2+ years of chemo/immunotherapy infusion experience.
Details
- Outpatient oncology infusion center setting
- Services include chemotherapy/biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, IV iron infusions, port lab draws, injections, and IV fluids/electrolyte treatments
- Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
- No weekends, no on-call requirements
- Holiday coverage required on every other holiday (EOH)
Requirements
- Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification required
- Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy, biotherapy, IV infusions, blood products, and related oncology treatments
- Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout their visit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized plans of care
- Background check and drug screen required prior to start; candidates should expect at least a 2-week turnaround for results
