Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret the plan of medical care and perform clinical assessments to ensure nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner
  • Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects
  • Record and maintain accurate patient medical information, vital signs, and detailed reports
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts or compact eligibility
  • Experience providing direct patient care in an oncology setting
  • Ability to perform clinical decision-making regarding individualized nursing care
  • Strong documentation skills with ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience in an inpatient oncology unit
  • Familiarity with oncology-specific medications, chemotherapy protocols, and related side effect management
