Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join a community-based oncology practice that is part of a nationally recognized, NCI-designated cancer center. This small practice includes a MD, APP, LPN, Ambulatory Tech, and 3 RNs. The infusion assignment is a mixture of hematology/oncology/monoclonals and non-oncology referral infusions. A typical infusion assignment involves chemotherapy teaching at the chairside, with an average of 8 patients per day and a maximum daily infusion capacity of 24 patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and non-oncology infusions.
• Provide chemotherapy teaching and education at the chairside.
• Work independently to manage a full patient assignment with minimal supervision.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the oncology care team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of recent infusion experience required; outpatient clinic experience highly desired.
• ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Experience with Epic EMR and Alaris infusion pumps.
• Strong IV/vascular access and port access skills.
• Current, unencumbered NYS RN licensure.
