Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Acute Oncology (Med/Surg) position on a night shift schedule, requiring at least 1 year of oncology experience and an active NM or compact RN license.

Details

Acute Oncology unit within a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM
Weekend availability required
13-week contract

Requirements

Active RN license in New Mexico or a compact state
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Minimum 1 year of experience in medical/surgical oncology or a related nursing specialty
BSN preferred

Additional Information

Provides routine and complex nursing care using the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness
Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Educates patients, families, and caregivers on care plans and available resources
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
Candidates who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS Health facility in a non-travel capacity must have been separated for at least 6 months before being considered for this travel assignment
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate — this position does not explicitly state locals are accepted
