Registered Nurse - Oncology Chemo Certified | Travel | Crown Point, IN

Assignment Overview

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Oncology Chemotherapy Certification for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will work within oncology clinics, primarily dealing with chemotherapy administration and patient care. Employees will spend time between locations in Valparaiso and Crown Point.

Assignment Details

  • Location: Crown Point, IN
  • Shift times: 7 a.m. - 4 p.m., rotating 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Assignment Length: Not provided
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2704.8 (negotiable)
  • Work Modality: On-site

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and manage related side effects
  • Perform central line and implanted line care
  • Monitor and manage patient symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, and neuropathy
  • Provide patient and family education and support
  • Manage infusion pumps and perform IV push administration of drugs

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Oncology
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC)
  • Experience with accessing and managing ports
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • IL RN license
