Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Oncology Telemetry unit position requiring an oncology background and current telemetry experience.

Details

• Work on an Adult Medical Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Unit specializes in Non-Surgical Oncology with Telemetry monitoring (Med Surg Tele)
• Patient population includes adult oncology, bone marrow transplant, CAR-T, and hematologic and solid tumor malignancy cases
• Acute care telemetry patients requiring continuous monitoring
• Day shift schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Chemotherapy is administered on the unit, though agency nurses are not required to administer it

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of current nursing experience required
• Oncology background required
• Telemetry experience required
• 1-2 prior travel assignments required
• Experience at a comparable facility size preferred, with 500+ bed hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Alaris pump experience preferred
• Chemo certification preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to adult oncology patients including bone marrow transplant and CAR-T therapy recipients
• Orientation sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Strong candidates are preferred given the high-acuity academic hospital setting
