Job Summary: The outpatient Endoscopy Lab Technician position in Mission Hills, California, involves providing expert support in a standalone endoscopy center. The role entails performing a variety of endoscopic procedures, ensuring high-level disinfection of procedural equipment, and working collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff. The ideal candidate will possess at least three years of experience in endoscopy and hold either SGNA certification or be a Certified Surgical Tech with relevant experience. This position offers the opportunity for permanent placement following a 13-week contract.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, total minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 09/07/2026.
Required Qualifications: Certifications in SGNA or Certified Surgical Tech (CST), completion of a surgical technologist program, BLS certification, and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in an endoscopy center or GI laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Olympus processors and scopes CV-190 and 190s, HLD scope reprocessing, EPIC and ProVation software experience, and familiarity with high-level disinfection procedures.
Additional Responsibilities: Assist with biopsies, balloon dilators, polypectomies, and other advanced endoscopic procedures; perform scope reprocessing; maintain sterile and aseptic techniques; restock supplies; and ensure adherence to procedural protocols.
Travel & Float Requirements: Travelers are expected to float between affiliated facilities within the state. Refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
References: Two recent references covering the past 6-12 months are required prior to start date.
Additional Notes: Prior experience with EPIC and ProVation systems is preferred but not mandatory. The position is at a dedicated outpatient endoscopy center with a patient census averaging 34-36 procedures daily.
