Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse (OR) Pasadena, TX. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within a busy surgical unit. The successful candidate will assist in a variety of procedures, support surgical teams, and ensure patient safety and quality standards are maintained throughout operative care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 0 years of experience; experience or familiarity with orthopedic, general, urology, or gynecology procedures preferred; candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ENT, vascular (non-cardiac), and pediatric surgeries; knowledge of laparoscopic and robotic procedures involving open, laparoscopic, or robotic general cases such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, bariatrics; robotic orthopedics including total knees and hips; trauma orthopedic; hysterectomies, tubal ligations, and emergent interventions; current BLS and BSN preferred
• Additional Information: The unit consists of 10 beds with a staffing of 54, including RN, CST, FA, PCT, anesthesia technicians, a supervisor, and a director. There is no floating area required. The unit operates with a team-oriented approach and emphasizes initiative and drive among team members. Weekends and on-call shifts are required, including weekly on-call and one weekend per month. The position is located at a surgical unit in Pasadena, TX, with an address at 4000 Spencer Hwy.
