Job Summary:
Operating Room Registered Nurse in Hermiston, Oregon. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in the surgical environment. The RN will assist with patient preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols throughout the surgical process.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift from 08:00 AM to 06:30 PM, Wednesday through Saturday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Current, unrestricted Oregon and Washington Registered Nurse licenses. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. CRASE training. Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including surgical care. Experience with Epic electronic health record system. Knowledge of evidence-based practice and quality improvement methodologies. Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
  • Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree. PALS certification. Specialty certification relevant to the operating room (e.g., CNOR). Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Additional Information: The RN will perform pre-operative assessments, intraoperative support, and post-operative care. Collaboration with surgical team members is essential to ensure seamless perioperative care. Strong assessment, critical thinking skills, and excellent communication are required. The role involves physical lifting up to 50 pounds, occasional patient transfers, and continuous movement throughout the shift. The environment includes exposure to infectious materials and medical equipment; adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
