Job Summary:
Operating Room nurse in Concord, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized perioperative patient care within a busy surgical department. The position requires experienced nurses capable of managing a variety of cases, including trauma, orthopedic trauma, spine, cardiovascular, gynecology, robotics, and general surgery, on a night shift schedule.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Nights, with scheduled hours of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The schedule cycle occurs every six weeks, with shifts typically running from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and weekend coverage on a rotating basis, including call shifts with an average of 6 per six-week schedule and a 45-minute response time.
- Required Qualifications: NC Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum of 5 years of perioperative experience; BLS certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: CNOR certification is desirable but not required.
- Responsibilities: Circulating in a variety of surgical cases including trauma, orthopedic trauma, spine, cardiovascular, gynecologic-oncology, robotics, general surgery, and more. The candidate must possess charge nurse experience and proficiency in scrubbing. Flexibility, self-motivation, and the ability to handle case requests during overnight hours are essential.
- Support within Department: Service line clinical supervisors, charge nurses, educators, operating room assistants, unit secretaries, and technical engineers.
- Technology/Equipment: Use of unit-specific and typical operating room equipment.
- Orientation: Two days of departmental orientation provided.
- Additional Notes: Scrub color is provided; parking is free; OR culture emphasizes teamwork and flexibility.
