Job Summary Operating Room Nurse Chattanooga, Tennessee. This opportunity involves supporting a busy surgical unit with a focus on orthopedic, spinal, neurosurgical, and general surgical procedures. The role requires maintaining high standards of patient care and safety in a dynamic clinical environment, utilizing advanced equipment such as the Modus V robotic digital microscope.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 08/17/2026
Required Qualifications: Current Tennessee nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, previous circulating experience in orthopedic and spine surgical procedures. Neurosurgical and general/robotic surgical experience preferred but not required. Critical thinking and customer service skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neurosurgical and robotic procedures is desirable.
Additional Information: The surgical unit features 17 beds and seven operating rooms. Procedures performed include total joints, spine fusions, neurosurgical operations such as craniotomies, robotic surgeries, urology, and cardiovascular procedures including open-heart surgeries. The unit uses Meditech documentation system and follows specific scheduling practices. Candidates will need to adhere to hospital policies and dress code (scrubs provided). The department is equipped with advanced technology including the Synaptive Medical Modus V robotic digital microscope, which is unique in Tennessee.
