Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Miami, FL. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy surgical unit within a facility that features advanced technology and expanded capacity for OR, ICU, and Emergency Room beds. The OR RN will assist during surgeries, prepare equipment, and ensure compliance with sterile procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS certifications; must have 2 years of current experience in an acute hospital setting; strong orthopedics, neuro, and robotics experience; willing to float to general operating room; no minimum years of experience required beyond the 2 years specified
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotics/Da Vinci systems and surgical scrubbing; previous travel experience preferred; ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and function independently
- Additional Information: The role involves preparing operating rooms, arranging equipment, assisting surgeons during procedures, inspecting and maintaining surgical tools, and managing inventory. Scrubs will be provided, and scrubs color is to be confirmed. This vacancy is part of a 417-bed facility that has recently undergone extensive upgrades, including a new patient tower, parking garage, and expanded surgical services. The facility is a certified comprehensive Stroke Center and has received the American Heart Association Gold Plus Achievement Award.
