Job Summary:
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Springfield, Missouri. The role involves assisting with vascular and hybrid imaging procedures, working closely with a team of nurses and surgical techs for both Endo and open cases. The position requires providing direct patient care across various age groups, coordinating care activities, and maintaining professional accountability in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 4x10 hours shifts, 0630-1700, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current RN license (eligible or licensed in Missouri), BLS certification from AHA, 2 years of experience in operating room settings with trauma experience (Level 1 or 2), scrub and OR circulator experience, at least 1 year of interventional vascular experience, competent in conscious sedation
- Preferred Qualifications: Level 1 trauma experience with multiple years of OR practice
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Assist with vascular surgeries in the operating room and hybrid imaging suites
- Work with a team of healthcare professionals for both endoscopic and open procedures
- Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and adhere to hospital and organizational standards
- Monitors and coordinates patient care to enhance outcomes and comfort
- Functions within the scope of nursing practice in accordance with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards
- Demonstrates clinical expertise in surgical nursing and effective communication skills
- Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting and pushing patients up to 50 lbs, and minimal kneeling or crouching
