Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in perioperative care in an outpatient surgical setting. This role involves applying the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop interdisciplinary treatment plans, perform clinical interventions, and evaluate patient responses to treatments. The position includes supervising non-nursing direct care providers and supporting various surgical procedures, including endovascular, neuro, spine, orthopedic, and trauma surgeries.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications & Certifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) or higher degree, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association, and a valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Skills: Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary for effective nursing care plan formulation; ability to perform professional nursing services; effective communication with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Additional Skills: Level I Trauma experience, scrub experience, and proficiency in endovascular, spine, neuro, orthopedic, and orthopedic trauma procedures.
• Experience: No minimum experience required beyond the qualifications listed.
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• End Date: 01/16/2027
• Location & operational notes: On-call after 90 days, holidays required as needed, and may float to ambulatory surgery centers as necessary. Candidates should have scrub experience and be capable of performing specialized procedures listed above.
