Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a surgical environment, with exposure to a variety of cases including ortho, podiatry, spine, and general surgery. The role requires independence, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage complex patient needs, primarily working evenings on a Monday through Friday schedule.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred; BLS required; RN License in state of employment or compact license
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Float: Only needed in Operating Room; may be asked to float between different campuses
- Additional Information: This position is mainly for the designated campus specializing in ortho, podiatry, spine, general, and urology surgeries. The float campus includes pain management, ENT (including pediatric), gynecology, and other specialties. On-call one to two times per week and every third weekend (Friday-Sunday) is required. The RN must demonstrate clinical independence and leadership qualities, following applicable nursing standards and protocols.
