Job Summary
Operating Room Nurse, located in New Mexico, responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care within the surgical environment. The role involves providing quality and efficient care during pre-operative procedures and ensuring safety standards are maintained throughout the perioperative process.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; ACLS (American Heart Association) certification; at least 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• Shift: Day shift, 8 hours per day, five days a week, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Obtain and record initial assessments, establish patient care priorities, implement individualized care plans, and perform point-of-care testing. Reassess patient status regularly to identify progress or issues requiring intervention. Participate in health education and discharge planning, while ensuring timely documentation and evaluation of care.
• Schedule: 5 days, 8 hours per day, with call obligations of 1-2 nights per week from the end of shift to 2200.
• Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license; BLS and ACLS certifications; ability to work full-time during scheduled shifts.
• Additional Information: Blocked scheduling accommodated; no weekend requirement; on-call requirement of 1-2 nights per week; floating to multiple locations may be required according to operational needs; nurse/patient ratio of 2:1; EMR using EPIC.
