Job Summary Operating Room Nurse North Carolina. This position involves providing expert nursing care within the surgical environment, focusing on patient safety, preparation, and support throughout operative procedures. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to professional standards.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift; 12-hour shift; minimum 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing; licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN or GE; minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; experience circulating for C-sections; proficiency in OB triage.
Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
Additional Information: Must have previous L&D operating room experience. Able to circulate for C-sections and triage for OB. Unit handles approximately 350-400 births per month. Occasionally, the unit manages postpartum holds, with nursery responsible for charting on the baby. Skills required include circulating for C-sections and OB triage. The role may require occasional float, but typically the unit does not float travelers.
