Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) OR Specialty Carlsbad, CA. This position entails providing high-quality perioperative nursing care in a hospital setting, supporting surgical teams across a variety of specialties including general, orthopedic, obstetrics and gynecology, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, trauma, and DaVinci robotics. The role involves collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Job Type: Contract, 13-week assignment, starting on 11/02/2026 and ending on 02/01/2027.
• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with call requirements. Call shifts Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM, and full 24-hour coverage on weekends.
• Certifications and Education: Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications are required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience, covering general, orthopedic, OB-GYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, trauma, and DaVinci robotics. Adult and pediatric experience preferred.
• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, totaling 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership within the operating room; work collaboratively with the surgical team to deliver patient care; ensure supplies, timely case management, effective communication, and assist during surgical procedures.
